All Saints Day

When the Saints Go Marching In

Each autumn, when students enter fifth grade, they spend a few weeks studying the Saints. They learn that the Saints were ordinary people like themselves who did very ordinary things in an extraordinary way. The fifth grade teachers have designed a special Saint Bingo game to reinforce the knowledge of the Saints.

Once the students have become acquainted with the Saints, they start thinking ahead to All Saints Day November 1st. Each student then gets dressed up as their favorite Saint for the All Saints’ Day masses.
