WISCONSIN PARENTAL CHOICE PROGRAM
ALSO KNOWN AS THE SCHOOL VOUCHER PROGRAM
St. John School participates in the Wisconsin Parental Choice Program, which allows eligible students who reside in Wisconsin, meet the state requirements, and are chosen to attend a Catholic school tuition-free.
The Wisconsin Parental Choice Program (WPCP) allows students who reside in a Wisconsin school district, other than the Milwaukee or Racine Unified School District to attend any participating private school if certain eligibility criteria are met and the students are selected in the random drawing conducted by the Department of Public Instruction (DPI). The private school, on behalf of he pupil's parent or guardian, receives a state aid payment for each eligible student.
Application dates for the 2019-20 WPCP are February 1– April 19, 2019.
If your family income places you at or below 220% of the federal poverty guideline you may apply for a voucher through the Wisconsin Parental Choice Program (WPCP) via the DPI.
For each additional family member, add $9,504. Income levels are Adjusted Gross Income (AGI).
