Why I love St. John School?

In today’s culture, it is a choice to follow Jesus Christ.  God’s grace is always present even when we don’t feel worthy. The children need to know they are worthy of God’s love and it is ok to make mistakes. I love being able to go to mass and worship together.  Our FAITH community extends prayers for us no matter what we are going through, be it joyous or dire. I am thankful to the families that choose to send their children to SJS.

My favorite part of teaching?

My favorite thing about being a teacher is the ability to be a part of a child’s spiritual and educational life. It is so meaningful to see a preschooler begin to understand the love of Jesus Christ and watch over the years as they develop the gifts God has given them. I feel blessed to be a part of that journey.

What I like to do outside of school?

Reading is one of my treasured things to do.  My husband has accepted that I have at least four different books going at a time, conveniently stashed in various spots around the house. I adore my grown children, grandchild, and “grand-pups”. During the summer, you will find me in my garden taking care of the plants and waving to former students bicycling by Doyle Park.
