Meetings

The Board of Education meets in the Learning Library at St. John School.

  TARA DE BOTH

I am employed by Thrivent Financial, leading the Customer Care Operations Department.  I was part of the Board previously, took a couple of years off and re-joined in 2017. I have two children – a 10th grade son at LCHS who graduated from St. John’s and a 5th grade daughter at St. John’s.  I am happy to be serving on the Board to continue the great tradition of Catholic Education at St John’s and I’m especially committed to helping us think about the long term and where we can change and grow for the future.

Kerri Roy

I am the owner of Big Apple Bagels in Appleton and a graduate of St. John's, as well as a lifelong member of the parish.  I joined the board in 2018 and love to be part of discussing how to keep St. John's traditions alive, but also stay current with the future needs of students.

Tyler Sterr

I joined the Board in May 2018.  I have been a member of St. John's since April 2016.  I am also a lector and commentator, and I help out with the coffee bar and the It's All About the Weekend Committee.  I am on the Board because I want to help the students of St. John's have the best education possible, and have the guiding presence of Jesus in their lives at all times.

JENNIFER NASH
I have five children going through St. John School, and have been a member of the parish for 14 years.  I have been on the Board since April 2018.  I am currently a stay-at-home mom and have a degree in Dental Hygiene. I have been a track coach for SJS for 4 years, and I volunteer in the lunch room and for various school and parish events.  I also volunteer in classrooms and for field trips. I chose to join the Board because I care about the students, educators, and parents of SJS. I want to help hold our education at the highest standard possible and allow our students to grow in their faith by following Christ’s example.

Scott Schommer

I am a graduate of St. John’s and a lifelong parish member. My wife Kathii works in the parish office, and we are the parents of four adult children and proud grandparents of seven. I have been involved in coaching basketball at St. John’s for the past 20 years.

HOLLY HARTL

I am employed by WiRCC.  I joined the Board in July 2016 because I have a passion for Catholic education.  My goal is to support the staff and students in every way possible to ensure the highest quality education and work environment.  I currently have two children who attend St. John’s School. I have been involved in various other committees at St. John’s over the years, including the Home & School Association, Technology Committee, and the women’s Welcome Weekend.

NICOLE VANDEN HEUVEL

I am a stay-at-home mom and lifelong member of St. John Parish.  This is my second term on the Board of Education.   My past experience was several years ago, at which time I assisted in the development and implementation of the Golden Ticket Event, FACTS Tuition Assistance, Free Kindergarten, and Parish & School Marketing programs.  It is through this experience and involvement within the Parish, School, and Community over the years, I understand the history, tradition, and academic excellence St. John’s has prided itself with and strives to uphold.   I believe strongly in catholic education and want to serve any way I can to ensure St. John School’s vitality well in to the future.  I am married to Ryan, and together we have 4 children.
