Stewardship Statement

Stewardship Beliefs

The need to act as Steward's of God is one of the core messages of Jesus. To continue Jesus' mission, St. John Nepomucene will teach the core messages of stewardship:

Stewardship is a lifestyle based on the biblical belief that God is the rightful owner of everything and that we are His stewards (i.e. caretakers), responsible to do with it what He wants done. Stewardship is one of our responses to God's gifts to us, and is a test of our worthiness of God's trust.

God wants us to save, invest, provide for family, but above all to give, especially to the poor. Most importantly we are to give back to God for His invaluable gifts to us. Using your gifts from God in the manner God directs is giving back to God.

Developing into better stewards is part of our spiritual growth. Giving benefits the giver. In addition to giving in response to God's blessings and wishes, through stewardship abundant blessings and joy will follow.

A Christian's use of God's gifts serves as a testament to others.
