Stewardship

St. Johns stewardship program focuses on the fact that stewardship is a lifestyle based on the biblical belief that God is the rightful owner of everything and that we are his stewards (caretakers), responsible to do with our gifts what God wants done. God wants us to work to make the most of our gifts and with the earnings to invest, provide for family, but above all to give to the poor. Most importantly we are to give back to God for his invaluable gifts to us. Using our gifts in the manner God directs IS giving back to God.

This committee concentrates on education and faith formation rooted in biblical and Catholic Church teachings concerning stewardship.
